ANKO participated in the International District Heating Summit 2025 held in Denmark with the presence of the Technical Service Executive Efthymios Yiagozoglou, Mechanical Engineer, specializing in district heating issues.

The summit, which was organized by the Brundtland Think Tank, the Danish Energy Agency, the Danish District Heating Board (DBDH), the Danish District Heating Association, State of Green and the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, brought together utilities, policymakers, financial institutions and technology providers from across Europe to explore how district heating can promote the transition to clean energy.

With energy security, renewables integration and decarbonisation high on the global agenda, the timing was right. DistrictHeating is increasingly recognised as a cornerstone of Europe’s climate ambitions, with an updated EU Strategy for Heating and Cooling expected in 2026.
