A meeting between ANKO – Development Organization of Western Macedonia and the Municipality of Florina took place at the Florina City Hall on Wednesday, May 14, as part of ANKO’s ongoing communication and collaboration with all municipalities of the Region of Western Macedonia.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding both the current cooperation between the Municipality of Florina and ANKO, as well as municipal initiatives in which ANKO, through its expanded role as a Development Organization, could contribute to the planning and implementation process.
Furthermore, the Municipality was updated on ongoing and planned projects in the wider area of the Regional Unit of Florina, where ANKO plays an active role. These include:

The modernization of the Vigla – Pisoderi Ski Center

The opening of the Lemos Prespa Border Crossing Station

The improvement of key road connections, such as:

Florina – Pisoderi – Antartiko – Prespa junction

Xino Nero – Ammochori – Florina

On behalf of the Municipality of Florina, the meeting was attended by Mayor V. Giannakis, Municipal Councilor and President of AN.FLO. N. Karypidis, and Director of Technical Services of the Municipality N. Papanastasiou.
From ANKO, participants included General Director A. Sidiropoulos, Director of Technical Services D. Pekopoulos, and Head of the Strategic Planning and Programs Department P. Ptochoulis.
